Journée de la Femme Numérique 2026 (jfnumerique.com)

This policy explains what personal information we collect on jfnumerique.com, why, who we share it with, and how to exercise your rights. It is published under Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (CQLR, c. P-39.1), in particular sections 3.2, 8 and 8.2. In case of discrepancy, the French version prevails.
1. Who we are
The website and the event are operated by Association DigiWomen, la voix des femmes dans le numérique ("DigiWomen"), a federal not-for-profit corporation, Québec enterprise number (NEQ) 1179971842.

2. Information you give us
The site has four forms. We only collect what you enter.
Volunteer. First name, last name, email, phone; shifts available on October 1; preferred volunteer category; whether you have volunteered at the JFN before; how you heard about the event; a note on your motivation (optional).
Pitch competition application. First name, last name, date of birth, email, phone; school and program of study (optional); LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok or other social media links (optional); a description of your pitch topic; your answers to the questionnaire (motivation, use of the prize, public speaking experience, anything else or a video link).
Partner and Exhibitor. Organization name, website, number of employees; first name, last name, title, work email, phone and LinkedIn (optional) of the contact person; preferred package or tier; message (optional).
Purposes. We use this information to process your request and organize the event: selecting and supporting volunteers, reviewing applications and contacting finalists, preparing a partnership or exhibitor agreement, and communicating with you about JFN 2026.
What happens when you submit. Your answers are saved in DigiWomen's contact management system (CRM), with a tag showing which form you used. The DigiWomen team is notified of your request, and an acknowledgement of receipt is sent to you by email.
3. Information collected automatically
When you submit a form, the site also sends technical information to the CRM: the page address, the page you came from, your browser and device type, your time zone and, if you arrived through a campaign link, that link's parameters (for example utm_source or an ad click identifier). This tells us how you heard about the event.
Audience measurement, only with your consent. If you accept the "Audience measurement" category, the site loads Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager. They record the pages viewed and certain actions (opening the ticket office, submitting a form without its content, clicking an external link, playing a video, adding the event to a calendar). Without your consent, these tools are not loaded.
Advertising, only with your consent. This category is off by default. If you turn it on, it lets us know whether an ad brought you here.
These measurement tools are not used to identify or profile you. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Cookies and browser storage
On your first visit, a banner offers "Accept all", "Reject all" or "Choose". You can change your choices at any time with the "Cookies" link at the bottom of every page.

The site also uses technical session storage to restore your scroll position. It contains no personal information.
5. Third-party services
Zeffy ticketing. Tickets are purchased in a Zeffy window embedded in the site, loaded only when you open the ticket office. Zeffy collects and processes your purchase and payment information; DigiWomen never receives your card details. Zeffy is responsible for that processing: see its privacy policy.
Google Maps. A link to the event venue opens Google Maps on Google's website. Nothing is loaded from Google Maps before you click.
Typefaces. The site's typefaces are served by the site itself. No request is made to Google to display them.
Social sharing. Share buttons send you to the network you choose, which applies its own policy.

6. Hosting and transfers outside Québec
The site is hosted on the GHL AI Studio platform (HighLevel) and delivered by Cloudflare. DigiWomen's CRM is hosted by HighLevel. WBT Agency builds and manages the site and the CRM on DigiWomen's behalf. Google processes audience measurement data when you consent to it.
These providers may store or process information outside Québec. Under section 17 of the Act, before such a transfer DigiWomen must assess whether the information will receive adequate protection and put it under a written agreement.
We do not share your information with anyone else without your consent, unless the law permits or requires it.
7. Retention and destruction
We keep your information for as long as needed for the purposes for which it was collected, namely organizing the event and following up on your request. Once those purposes are fulfilled, it is destroyed or anonymized in accordance with section 23 of the Act, subject to any retention period required by law.
8. Security
The site is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Access to the information collected is limited to people who need it to organize the event or process your request.
9. Minors
Personal information about a minor under 14 may not be collected from that minor without the consent of the person having parental authority or the tutor (sections 4.1 and 14 of the Act). If you are under 14, ask your parent or tutor to write to us before filling out a form.
10. Your rights
At any time, you may:
- access the personal information we hold about you and obtain a copy (s. 27);
- have it corrected if it is inaccurate, incomplete or equivocal (s. 28);
- withdraw your consent to its use or disclosure (s. 8). For cookies, use the "Cookies" link at the bottom of the page;
- ask us to stop disseminating information in the cases set out in section 28.1.
Write to the person in charge of the protection of personal information at confidentialite@digiwomen.ca. We may ask you to confirm your identity. We reply in writing no later than 30 days after receiving your request (s. 32).
Complaints. You can write to us first. You may also file a complaint with the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (s. 81).
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The current version is posted on this page with its effective date, and any significant change is announced on the site (s. 8.2).
